    On Exhibit June 2026

I have two framed works from my Scenes from New England series on exhibit at The Art Center in Dover, NH, from now until June 30.

    Cog Nears the Summit

The cog railway train approaches the summit of Mount Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This is the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway, operational since 1869. It’s the second-steepest in the world, scaling a 3-mile track to the 6,288-foot summit with a maximum grade of 37.4%.

    View from Mount Washington

Distant mountains unfold in this view from the summit. The Lakes of the Clouds, seen in the lower left, are two alpine tarns nestled at 5,032 feet in the col between Mount Washington and Mount Monroe. They are the highest elevation lakes in the Northeast and serve as the base for the AMC’s hikers’ hut.

I have the following photograph, in a black frame, on exhibit at the Seacoast Artist Association gallery in Exeter, NH May 30 – June 27.

    Spider Orchid

This plant, photographed at the US Botanic Garden in Washington DC, has distinctive flowers with long, thin petals that mimic the legs of a spider to attract specific pollinating wasps.

  • Nature’s Autumn Palette

    Nature’s Autumn Palette

The East Branch Pemigewasset River begins its 16-mile run from the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the main Pemigewasset River, part of the Merrimack River watershed.

The Lincoln Woods area features granite boulders and clear cold waters that wind through the valleys leading to the Kancamagus Highway, ablaze with bright red, orange, and yellow fall foliage colors. The pedestrian bridge, part of the Lincoln Woods trail, can be seen spanning the river in the background.

A framed print of this image is on display at the Seacoast Artist Association gallery in Exeter, NH during the month of September, 2025.

  • Blue Layers

    Blue Layers

Heavily wooded White Mountains of New Hampshire appear as blue layers in this high-saturation image taken at dawn.

  • Up and Down

    Up and Down

Boardwalks make the climb up easy at Sabbaday Falls located just south of NH state route 112 (Kancamagus Highway). This is an easy hike that overlooks Sabbaday Brook as it tumbles 35 feet down in a series of picturesque cascades.

This incredible view is just a short hike up the east side of Crawford Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The view includes U.S. route 302 as it curves around tiny Saco Lake, the headwaters of the Saco River. The historic Crawford Notch train depot on the left side near the train tracks is still used by the Conway Scenic Railroad, a tourist attraction in North Conway. The AMC Highland Center is the large building between the lake and background mountains.

  • Covered Bridge at Flume Gorge

    Covered Bridge at Flume Gorge

This classic red covered bridge spans the Pemigewasset River in the Flume Gorge, an iconic attraction located in Franconia Notch, part of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

  • Avalanche Falls

    Avalanche Falls

Verdant growth hugs the granite walls as Flume Brook plunges 45 feet down into the 800 foot long Flume Gorge, a classic scenic attraction at the base of Mount Liberty in Franconia Notch, part of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

  • Coliseum Falls

    Coliseum Falls

Aptly named, Coliseum Falls is a gently stepped cascade along Bemis Brook in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It can be reached by hiking the Bemis Brook trail which starts a short distance south of the Willey House in Crawford Notch and leads to the much larger Arethusa Falls.

  • Foliage Reflection

    Foliage Reflection

I’ve photographed Mount Chocorua many times before, but each time seems to present a new emotion. Here the fall foliage is coming on strong and the early morning mist on this chilly autumn day rises above the still-warm waters of Chocorua Lake. Thin clouds hover above the broad shoulders of the mountain, almost appearing to be smoke emanating from the jagged peak.

  • View from Artist’s Bluff

    View from Artist’s Bluff

A short climb from Echo Lake State Park up to Artist’s Bluff unveils expansive views of Franconia Notch in the New Hampshire White Mountains. Autumn colors are just starting to appear in this scene from late summer. Cleared areas on the right are ski trails at Cannon Mountain which, in the summer, offers a tram ride to the top of that mountain. Route 93 snakes along the valley floor. The bare granite ledges of Artist’s Bluff fall away rapidly to the trees 350 feet below.
