I’m a photographer from Dover, New Hampshire specializing in New England landscape and seascape scenes. I use High Dynamic Range processing to give many of my images a detailed and luminous appearance and artistic software filters to impart a “painterly” look to my scenes.
I offer matted prints for sale in my online shops on Etsy and Pixels (aka Fine Art America).
I’m a member of the Seacoast Artist Association in Exeter, NH and the New Hampshire Art Association in Portsmouth, NH, where I often exhibit my works. A past president of the Seacoast Camera Club and a software engineer by trade, I’ve always been interested in the technical aspects of photography. The son of accomplished artist Roy Thompsen, I appreciate art in its many forms and the unique perspective artists use to compose and interpret a compelling scene.
Sharing on Social Media
I encourage readers to share my images through Facebook, Pinterest, and other social media platforms, but please do reference my name (Dave Thompsen) and provide a link back to the page you found my image on. To make this easy, I provide sharing links at the bottom of every page – just click the icon for the platform you wish to use – that service will be brought up for you to submit likes/pins/comments/etc.
