The East Branch Pemigewasset River begins its 16-mile run from the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the main Pemigewasset River, part of the Merrimack River watershed.
The Lincoln Woods area features granite boulders and clear cold waters that wind through the valleys leading to the Kancamagus Highway, ablaze with bright red, orange, and yellow fall foliage colors. The pedestrian bridge, part of the Lincoln Woods trail, can be seen spanning the river in the background.
