The Cocheco River, bank-full from recent rains, spills over the dam at Watson Road in Dover, New Hampshire. Early morning mist glows yellow-orange from the rising sun. The dam gatehouse stands solemnly over waters calm enough to reflect images of the weathered brown and gray wood siding and the vibrant green spring foliage of the trees lining the river banks.
This image uses High-Dynamic Range (HDR) technique and an artistic software filter to impart a painterly appearance. Prints are available from my Etsy shop.
