Photograph – Littleton

A couple of sunset shots taken in Clement Park in Littleton, Colorado. This is a marvelous park administered by the Foothills Park & Recreation District to serve the residents of the suburbs in this area. Packed with recreational opportunities for ball-games, fitness running, and picnicking, this area also has a path around a small pond and great views of the Rocky Mountain foothills to the west. The white tent-like structure seen intersecting with the sunset below is a performance stage.

Photograph – Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park is famous for offering majestic mountain views. Over 400 square miles of rugged terrain, some of which is accessible by the Trail Ridge Road that climbs through passes and summits that reach as high as 12,000 feet above sea level. This series of photographs was well-served by the use of High Dynamic Range (HDR) techniques which retain the color saturation and details across the image.

A couple of images from Roxborough Park in Colorado. Amazing red sandstone rock formations jut out of the ground in this foothill area of the Rocky Mountains south of Denver. With over 4000 acres and miles of easy trails, this is a fascinating place to take a hike. The visitor center offers educational exhibits on the geology, fauna, and flora of the park.

Photograph – Denver

I took these photos of Denver while on a trip to Colorado last summer. Here, my brother Steve surveys the urban jungle of downtown Denver near Union Station. I used some strong High Dynamic Range (HDR) processing on this, which exaggerates the colors and textures to give the image a more “artful” appearance.
